THANKS FOR BEING STEVE
I really enjoyed your teaching at the workshop at GWU today and loved your song about the climbing tree. I had a climbing tree when I was a little girl and it brought back a lot of wonderful memories. :)
Steve... What an honor to know you and to listen tor your beautiful music. There is always so much heart & soul, sometimes a tear and always a grin or belly laugh in every song you write. You're the best! It was such an honor to be invited to swap songs with you recently. And, I just wanted to be in your guestbook.
Bravo Steve!!! You were amazing at the Don Gibson Theatre!!! And, wow, thank you so much for the CD!! It totally blew me away! You are a songwriting and storytelling genius! I loved every song on the CD and I laughed and I cried! What an amazing and blessed love and gift you have!!!! Stan at the theatre wants a copy of your CD. It was great to meet you and Misty. I hope to come hear you again!
Got as far as "Family Stories". Had to pull the car over to wipe my tears. Steve, you are a storytelling genius. Your Fan Forever, Barbara
Hey, great to see you on here! Are you guys on Facebook? Gerald
The current CD "Dusty Lawn Chairs" has some of the best folk music I have heard in years. I particularly loved "I'll Take My Chances On God". Many of the songs are so near to the heart. Thanks Steve; great CD. PJ Loss
Love this CD! Daddy's Hat made me cry. It was a pleasure meeting you last night at Dilworth Billiard. Look forward to sharing music soon. Jamie
i miss you and love you dad. just saw the new utube from swannonoa, its awesome!!
Hello Steve, I'm wondering if your song "No one will ever love you like me" has been recorded by a female country singer. On Mother's Day, I heard a song with that title played on a country radio station. They didn't announce who had performed it, but it was a real tear-jerker. The lyrics were a little different than yours and even mentioned "Mother's Day" but the chorus sounds very much the same. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you, Susan
We saw you perform at Springfest, we enjoyed it so much, we even bought your CD. Keep the wonderful songs comin.
Hi, Steve ... fancy meeting you here! I got a note from the Evening Muse that included your listing for the evening of Wednesday, March 25 (tomorrow), and I'm going to try to make it there with Tricia. Since they also had a link to your website, just thought I'd check it out. Congratulations on the Suwannee award!
got your cd (for free) @ FITP. now that i've played it(over & over) i would have payed BIG money for it. plan to catch you @ the next gig. have you ever thought about approaching "a prarie home companion" on NPR. you fit their style to a "T". garrison keeler would eat your music up. best qf luck, bob.
Steve, Enjoyed meeting you and listening to your music at Swannanoa. Thanks for the CD. I loved it and listened to it all the way back to Chesapeake. Great songs with an authenticity and truthfulness that shines through. Keep up the great work.

Steve - Listening to you CD again after a lay-off. I'm enjoying it just as much as the first time I heard your songs. Congrats on your recent win ! Todd
Delighted to finally make your acquaintance (Summit with Dave&Mer and Phyllis early May). Have been enjoying the CD. Sparrows made me cry that night.. so did Daddys Hat. You helped me come to a life changing conclusion that night. The man I was with at the time asked why I was crying after Sparrows. My writer/musician heart was so astonished that he didn't understand. All I could say was "Did you just hear what I heard?". Then I understood. He will not likely ever understand ME. I fell away from love with him in that one moment. Your music has the ability to change lives!! I'm kinda laughing, but this IS really true! I enjoy the other tunes on your CD, but Sparrows stands out. I hope you don't mind, but with appropriate credit (if I ever play out again) and with your blessing, I would like to learn it. The story is just too good and needs to be shared. Hope you don't mind. You all did a terrific job of putting together a really tight production... very tasty. I hope you are very proud. It is sweeeet. Wonderful job. I hope to see/hear you again soon. Marie http//www.myspace.com/erieandme

Steve, I tried (several times) to learn guitar as a youth, and now find myself trying again. I too took a creative leave of absence to raise a family (not all gone yet), and make a living as an engineer (civil). Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the music on your site, and that your bio gave me a lift. Keep it up!
Listened last night; absolutely awesome

Steve! So happy for you (and us) that you've (finally) come out with your first CD. You're so prolific, you've probably got enough "hits" for five more! Thanks for sharing your songs.
Congratulations on the Flatrock prize!!! I guess the new CD keeps you from submitting those songs for future competitions, but they are all winners in my book. Brawner
